ADMISSIONS & APPLICATION PROCESS

HERITAGE ACADEMY has an open enrollment policy. Applications are being accepted throughout the 2009-2010 school year. Applications for the 2010-2011 school year are also being accepted.

Process for the 2009-2010 School Year: (Openings only in K-4 for the 09-10 school year)

1. Schedule a tour of the school and an appointment with the principal. Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings are best.
2. Submit an Application and $50 Application Fee (non-refundable).
3. Submit the Application Packet, including:
• Current Teacher Reference (confidential)
• Former Teacher Reference (confidential)
• Last year’s final report card
• Current report card
• Copy of latest SAT or other standardized testing
• Examples of current writing and math work
• Any learning testing that is applicable
4. Complete Screening and/or Placement Tests:
   • Kindergarten – Gesell Screening
   • Grades 2-6- Singapore Math Placement Test
5. When the Application Packet is complete and all work and test scores are received, the packet is immediately evaluated and an interview is scheduled with the principal.
6. You will be notified of a final decision within 10 days.
7. Admission requires payment of the following fees for a child to enter class.
• Registration Fee of $750
• First month’s tuition fee

Process for the 2010-2011 School Year:

1. Schedule a tour of the school and an appointment with the principal. Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings are best.

3. Submit the Application Packet, including:

• Former Teacher Reference (confidential)

4. Complete Screening and/or Placement Tests:

   • Grades 2-6- Singapore Math Placement Test
5. When the Information packet is complete and when all work and test scores are received, the packet is evaluated by the administration an interview is scheduled with the principal.
6. Work, packet, interview, and test scores are evaluated by the admissions committee.
7. Decision letters are sent out by April 30th or within 2 weeks of testing (if after April 30).
8. Submission of Registration Fee of $750 within 10 days of admission.
9. Submission of tuition due by September 1st. All subsequent tuition fees are due the first of each month and considered late on the 15th of each month. Tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly payments.
