STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that all Scripture is verbally inspired by God and that it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

We believe in one God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His Second Coming.

We believe that man is created in the image of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred physical death and separation from God.

We believe that the Christian is saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead: the saved to eternal life in heaven and the unsaved to eternal judgment.

We believe that Christians are to be separated unto God, living holy lives pleasing to Him and witnessing to His glory.

We believe that God directly created the heavens and the earth and all that lies therein.

PHILOSOPHY (3 R’s)

The staff and board of
HERITAGE ACADEMY support the philosophy that God is the center of the universe and that His Word is the authority and instruction to both parents and teachers on how to raise up strong children in this upside-down world. Children at HERITAGE ACADEMY will be challenged on a daily basis to see the world through the lens of God’s Word. It is our desire to help children develop a sound Biblical worldview regarding all of life and to develop and a strong relationship with Christ.

Parents are chosen for a child by God.
HERITAGE ACADEMY staff will always turn a child’s heart toward home. A good relationship between home and school with healthy, consistent communication is essential for the well-being of a child.

No one should have to sacrifice learning for spiritual input. If the world does it well, a Christian school should do it better. We take
responsibility for your tuition dollar, and it will be honored.

Children need to learn to take
responsibility for their own learning. Sometimes that means that children have to be allowed to fail in small areas to succeed in the big ones. When a struggle results in a triumph, children grow.

Preparation for the next step in life is essential. Bible classes, lessons in manners, prayer after conflicts, and stories selected to teach character etc. all help
ready students for the next grade and for junior high. Parenting seminars help ready the parents for the world of teens.
